Tower Hamlet Chineses School The main aim of Tower Hamlet Chinese School is to provide an excellent education in a safe, supportive learning environment, where people are valued and make positive contributions to the our communities and where publis go on to become responsible, independent memebers of society. We strive to introduce and teach the Chinese language and cultural traditions to all children and young people, while building a good relationship with the local communities.
We are here to promote the Chinese language and culture to children and young people between the ages of six and eighteen years; throught different activities such as dance, martial art, Chinese chess, story writing, Chinese calligraphy and Chinese literature in order to encourage students to participate in extra-curriculum activities outside of the school environment and develop self-confidence. At the same time, we will support students from different background to achieve B and above grades in GCSE and A-Level Chinese languages by following the British Modern Foreign Language syllabus of national curriculum.

For the past 10 years, Mrs. Chung has been teaching the Chinese language in serveral schools across United Kingdom. In 2005 - 06, she was appointed as Deputy Head Teacher of the Chinese Independent School of Tower Hamlet, during her appointment at the school, she has help all of her students achieved 100% A grade and above.
As well as a qualified teacher of GCSE and A-Level Chinese, she is also an examiner of national and international examination boards for the Chinese lanuage since 2005. Mrs. Chung is also an examination board proof reader.
Mrs Chung us well-known within the Chinese community as she was elected has the Deputy Chairwoman of the United Kindom Federation of Chinese School (UKFCS) between 2005-06 and 2008-09. Futhermore, she was the chairwoman of the Chinese culture and recreational committee of UKFCS.
William Chung

Mr Chung has been teaching the Chinese language and culure in several schools across United Kingdom for the past 6 years. He was appointed as Head Teacher of the Chinese Independent School of Tower Hamlets between 2005-06. The school was awarded the Silver Award in Pan-London Supplementary School Quality Frame Work under his leadership.
Mr Chung was Vice President of the Education committee of UKFCS. He was responsible for organising the teacher training conference, setting up new Chinese books and teaching materials for memebers school. He is now the treaurer of UKFCS. William currenly teaches A-Level and he is a proof reader for an examination board.

In order to achieve our aim of overall development for each pupil a comprehensive range of extra-curricular activities is organised by the staff and student union. These include participation in every major sport, dance, drama, music and a variety of clubs. These take place after school and half term holidays. There are also opportunities for the children to participate in residential courses, field work and educational visits.
We are extremely proud of the pupils` achievements and the facilities available for them. Their achievements are made possible through the dedicated hard work of the highly talented and professional teachers that we are lucky to have at Tower Hamlet Chinese School.
